So who is getting The HTC DNA

I love the specs on this phone,but the lack of an SD card slot,and a non removable battery has me puzzled.16 gig,means only about 11 gig usable,and HTC have never been great battery life phones,i still love HTC build quality.

I feel sorry for anyone that buys that phone.

Yes, but you will find plenty of posts saying exactly that sort of thing about motorola, LG, samsung as well (citing lousy build quality, weak radios, terrible software, glacial or no updates etc)  And lots of happy people for each as well.

well it was a nice try, but I also need expandable memory. I would prefer a removable battery but it's not a complete deal breaker like the missing MicroSD card slot is. I also would be hesitant because I need to know if this is one of HTC's Playstation Mobile available phones. Guess it doesn't matter now though.

I think the lack of storage is a deal killer. 4 years ago 16 gig would have been worth it, but not any more. Apps are quickly moving into HD territory (and sizes) and HD videos and pictures (especially at 1080p) are going to just abuse this phones meager capaicity. Battery life is a question mark. With no real world testing available we can only take their word on it. I bought the HTC Thunderbolt when it came out and it's battery life was one of the worst I've ever had. I've pretty muched vowed to never again buy another HTC product. I may have considered this phone, but it is a typical compromised piece of plastic that HTC is famous for. A year old processor and 4 year old storage. This is not what one would call cutting edge.

i'm extremely disappointed. i love htc's. i had the original incredible and currently have the tbolt. both have been excellent phones for me. i prefer sense to the rest of the UI's out there. i have been waiting on something from them, but not this. when i started following the rumors and leaked pics, etc, i was sold. however, 16 gigs is absurd in 2012 (basically 2013). and i agree with the OP. i'm guessing 12 gigs at the most will actually be available. the tbolt was advertised as 8. we actually got just over 2. throw android and sense on it, and then throw the bloatware on it (which is all getting bigger and bigger) and then let them reserve a little more space for whatever reason, and i'm guessing it's a 12 gig phone. i could deal with the battery. i LOVE the rest of the specs, but no removable memory is the deal breaker to me. i just can't imagine this thing selling well at all. seriously....ALL they had to do was make it 32 gigs or put an sd slot in it and i would consider it the best available device out there. there are now hd games out there that are over a gig. load 2 of those and a couple of hd movies, and your done. completely filled up. what's the point of a 1080 hd screen, if you can't really store any hd content?

oh yeah....nevermind the lack of mini hdmi or usb. why isn't this stuff standard these days? i'll be checking out the note II. i haven't really looked in to it because i've never cared for samsung, but i'm sure it's got most of what the DNA is missing. the EVO had hdmi.....TWO YEARS ago. why is this stuff not standard? thin and light is fine and dandy, but i'd rather have usb, hdmi, sd, etc. i don't care if it makes it a bit thicker or heavier.

I am a bit disappointed in the DROID DNA. I loved my HTC phones, but I don't know if the specs could sway me towards it.

As for space I have only used 5.54 GB of 28.13 GB available on my Nexus. So I could handle the 16 GB space, but I don't want to. 🙂
