Nexus One...Spring 2010!

This probably won't make a difference as no matter how many times its posted people just keep asking, but here goes.

Google has stated very clearly on their site that the Nexus One is coming to VZW in the Spring of 2010.

Here is the Link:

https://www.google.com/phone/choose?hl=en&gl=US&s7e=

For anyone keeping score, Spring 2010 comes before Summer 2010 which is when the EVO is planned to be released.

Now, the question I am dying to hear the answer too; How many of you complaining (5 days into Spring) that the Nexus One is not out yet and you want to leave to go to Sprint because of it, are actually planning on shelling out the $500+ dollars to buy a Nexus One if it comes out tomorrow?

For that matter, what do you think the EVO will cost? 4G, 2 Cameras, 4.3" screen, HDMI, etc...?

I'd spend it. I patiently waited for the iPhone, which never happened. Now I've been waiting for the Nexus One and after expecting to get a new phone this week, it's a disappointment that I'm still on my junky old phone. Now that we're in Spring, it would be nice if they could give a definitive date. I guess I'm just supposed to continue checking every single day, for possibly the next 3 months, for a date? If they haven't announced a clear date yet, and we're already in Spring, then I wouldn't be surprised if we're going to see delays. I love Verizon's service, but this phone thing is getting very frustrating. I need a decent phone and there just aren't many options. Yeah, I could get the Droid, but knowing that new & better phones are supposedly coming, why would I get that? I haven't wanted to deal w/AT&T, but I'm getting closer to the point that I just may have to.

Do what I did.  Get the Droid but pay the 1 yr price.  I didn't feel like waiting for the N1 anymore, and quite frankly by getting the Droid (which I think is pretty awesome) and doing it for 1 year it puts me right in the wheelhouse to get an LTE phone when they start coming out in about 14 months!!    :smileyvery-happy:

As I have said before, my gripe with Verizon is not that the phone is not available yet, it is the complete silence from Verizon.  I can't believe that in the last two months they have not been able to narrow down the release date a little better and some time in the next three months.

As for the EVO, if you do have to wait three months for the N1, you might as well wait a little longer for the EVO.  I think it will be a significantly better phone then the N1. The ability to act as a WiFi hot spot is an excellent feature for me.

As for the price of the N1. I would gladly pay $529.00 if I could get it before my drop dead date on April the 6th.  A friend has one on T-Moble and it is a sweet phone.  I like it significantly better than the Moto Droid.  The Droid is a good phone, nut  do not like the extra bulk the key board adds.  I am also not a fan of any phone that slides apart.   Other than that, I think it is a solid phone.

As for the Cost of the EVO, I am thinking it will be in the $200-$300 range with activation and two year contract and int he $600.00 range unlocked....  And yes I would gladly pay either...

I know that you no not like it when people complain about the long release cycle of the newer phones on the Verizon network, but it is quite annoying to me....  Obviously I am not alone....
