I have been looking hi and lo on how to answer a call while on another call (call waiting)? Can someone please help me out. The tutorial (online) did not have anything about call waiting, and the user manual (online) does not have anything about call waiting. is this feature not available with the Motorola Droid (firmware 2.1-update1). if it is possible can someone please explain how to answer a call while you are on the phone with someone else and not lose that person when you answer the call waiting call?

Sure. There is a little icon that appears in the upper left when another call comes in. Simply press it to switch to the second call.
