Just upgraded my son form a MotoG5 to a MotoG7 Power and now whenever it's connected to wifi, which is all the time at home, the network reads no mobile data so he can't send or receive MMS messages. Once wifi is turned off the messages go through just fine. Never had this issue with the G5. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm sorry that your son is having issues with messages when connected to wifi mugwump867 . I can understand how frustrating this can be but we are here to help. Has there been any changes to your home internet service? If that phone is connected to other wifi locations, do you have the same issue?
I recommend resetting the Network settings on the MotoG7 and making sure the software is up to date. Listed below is a link to the steps.
