No idea and no idea.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

It is ridiculous and insulting to those of us who spent $299 that the DROID RAZR Maxx HD is still running Android 4.1.2

The Droid Maxx does have Kit kat 4.4 I am 100% sure of that Verizon sent me one. Maybe you need to update Verizon software or get a new phone that supports it. (removed)

I am using the Droid RAZR Maxx HD, which has not received the update and has not even received a confirmed date, just a statement that it "would be updated." The last update received was a patch for the existing OS back in November, but the phone is still stuck on 4.1.2 which is ridiculous. This was the top of the line Motorola phone before the release of the Droid Maxx last year.

K_A_P, I seem to think Motorola controls when and what updates a phone gets, and not Verizon. What they (Motorola) seem to had started to do, is try and get you to purchase a newer phone to be able to get the latest OS. This link may be of interest.

At least it will be updated.
Just curious, is your phone working fine? Why is it ridiculous that it's running Jelly Bean, most androids are running Jelly Bean still.
Just because there is a newer OS? So since you don't have the latest and greatest OS you are upset?
It will come, be patient.
If you were really concerned about the OS, you would have been on the forum a while back complaining about not having 4.2 when it came out or 4.3 when it came out.
Good Luck
