Hey guys I just posted a question wanting to know what was the best phone out there. But, then I had a thought. Is the best phone out there, or is there something thats going to blow every current phone out away. I guess my real question is should I get a phone that's currently out or wait until something new and better comes along?
Thanks

As is often noted, the "best" phone is anyway a personal decision, people will differ (see, for example, iPhone vs Android vs Windows wars. No agreement there).
But yes, as tikibar and tidbits state, a better phone is always coming (as is a better laptop, social networking site etc) and even if you do buy today's best phone, you will be able to get it $200 cheaper pretty soon. So you either wait forever, or decide "this is the best for me now" and try to remember that is what you wanted so you don't cry too hard when the 5-D Sensesurround version comes out a month from now.
And this is a GOOD thing! It means technology is improving all the time. One of the "advantages" of the iPhone is you avoid this, if you get a iPhone 5 around now, there won't be a superior iPhone model for at least a year. (Android/Windows users will happily explain why the next or current Moto/HTC/LG/Samsung is superior to the 5, but true fans don't need to listen!)
And lastly, if you a buy a phone that is clearly massively superseded with in a few weeks, that doesn't make you a hopeless loser. Don't be too personally identified with your choice of smartphone. It's just a phone (unless it is the LG 6D UltraSenseSurround with Android 7.4....)

If you're buying Android or even Windows Phone 8, there will always be a better phone on the way. Th eone you have now that is top of the line will generally stay there for about 180 days (though there's certainly exceptions). Just like PCs.
I went to the iPhone 4 when it hit VZW specifically to avoid this kind of buyer's remorse. Though I'm now on the 4S. I'm now anxiously awaiting the Galaxy Note 2 so I can get back onto Android. But when I buy that, I'm sure another one will be announced by the and of the year that makes me second guess.
Basically, get something that you are happy with and cut yourself off from Android news until your eligibility for a new device comes up lol.
