My Droid 3 displays inconsistent rotation behavior. Most applications seem to rotate well following the orientation of the phone. Sometimes, however the applications don't rotate or rotate only after a lengthy delay. Some applications do not rotate to inverted vertical position. The home screens NEVER rotate - which is most annoying.
Is there any way to fix this?
Unfortunately, the home screen not rotating is by design. The only time it will go into landscape mode is when you slide out the QWERTY keyboard.
As far as the other applications are concerned, some applications rotate, and some do not. Then, some pages will, and others will not. It depends on the application developer as to what pages rotate. Now, if sometimes the same page rotates, and then after time it does not, that is hard to explain. It may be a bug in the phone software, or the application software. It is honestly hard to tell.
