How do I get an image out of text messaging into Gmail

A friend sent an image via text messaging and now I want to mail it to a friend.  When I use Zedge to view the image and select share/gmail I get this error message " application Gmail (processcom.google.android.gm) has stopped unexpectedly.  Please try again".  The same thing happens when I use Astro Image Viewer.

 

When I use the native viewer, there is no share selection.  What can I do?  My Android OS level is 2.0.1 and am using a Droid.

I suggest that you press and hold on the image and save it to your SD card ( if you havnt already) and then go to your gallery and select the share option and then choose your email option.
