I doubt its disconintued. I wonder if they upgraded their website with older data (pre-Eris). The seach cache shows the Eris links, but the links are dead ends.
I think it's just a mess up.
It looks like Verizon is adding a bunch of new HTC phones.
HTC Imagio - available now, hardware somewhere between Eris and Droid, Bigger screen and battery, no hardware keyboard, a little heavier than the Eris. But it runs Windows Mobile 6.5 (Yuck!).
HTC Predator - ?? - not many details available, rumors mostly, perhaps the Imagio hardware, running Android.
Imagio is currently listed on HTC web site and Verizon site.
As for the Eris, the only thing that still seems to be on the HTC site is the user manual.
>HTC Imagio -
came out weeks before the Eris or Droid
check this link - no Eris to be found
or try this - search the HTC site for "Eris" - none of the links show Eris or don't even work
have we been "duped" !!!!!????
The Eris is back on the front page. It is the very top right "YOU". Where it says You just crossed three time zones. It is still not listed under the products page. Interesting, I just bought it. I hope they didn't disco it.
...And now at the HTC site, we are back to "We are working one something SPECIAL for YOU!"
Ahh, the life of a webmaster..."o))
I really, REALLY believe that this phone is too good to discontinue this quickly (that coming from a recent iPhone user).
Well, it appears that all is well on the HTC at this point in time, all of the missing Eris information is back on the site (wondering how that sort of thing happens, but not saying it out..))

refer to my posts under HTC Eris My Estimates battery Life.....
"....I bought this as a possible iPhone "replacement" since I did not want to switch to AT&T. I know someone that has an iPhone and he says he rearely if ever has connection issues, dropped calls and he gets at least 5-7 hrs (compared to the 3.5 hrs on this Eris, though I wouldn't call my usage "heavy" at only about 30%) of heavy use out of it over a typical 18 hr or so period between charges. Thoughts, commments?....Coming down to decision time and either going to stick with the Eris and its shortcomings or bite the bullet and switch to AT&T iPhone"
would be interested on your take - and have you tried playing music for extended period on Eris? iPhone claims 30 hrs of music playing
Actually, I never played music on my iPhone. Never even put songs on it. Nor have I played with music playback on the Eris, either.
That's what I have 3 120gig iPods for...
