Green light next to text messages?

Hi,

When I go to my messaging screen, it lists the texts I have sent. Next to one of my contacts is a circle with a green light in it. What does this stand for?

If you're describing what I think you're describing, it means that the person is in your friends list for Google Talk and that they are online and available.
