Regading the question from earlier about moving apps to the SD card, it doesn't look good.  Apparently it is an issue with any phone running Jelly Bean as Google has decided to stop supporting that feature.  This is based upon some articles I've read on cnet and Android Central.

Also, it appears as though Samsung devices may get a double whammy.  If you check out the Play Store app called "App To SD", it list the follwing dislaimer:

"Galaxy devices configures the SD card as a secondary external storage. This is configured by Samsung. Nothing developers can do about this. Please contact Samsung for details.  Not supported devices:

* Galaxy S3, Note 2, Galaxy Nexus, Tablets

* read FAQ 10 for details: App 2 SD > MENU > Settings > About > FAQ"

I haven't actually tested any of this out yet.  Obviously the GN2 is my first Jelly Bean device and I've also never really bothered with moving my apps to the SD card before.  Can't really comprehend how someone would use on a regular basis so many apps that he or she would run out of internal storage room.  However it'd be interesting to hear from anyone who can test out first hand whether or not app to SD is possible with Jelly Bean and/or the GN2.

Link2SD

I've got apps with widgets on the SD card with it, and it works perfectly.   it does work with JB, though not (yet) with encrypted apps (I'm not sure what apps are encrypted, I know free aren't so I'd assume paid are)

it's going to be the 2nd thing on my note tho, besides T.Backup though, if all goes well.....  once I get it upgraded properly so I can!

Since I'm the  s****d m****** ******r that I am I have no clue why you would want to move your apps to the SD card. What's the benefit?

there really is no benefit to it except to save storage space on the phone internal memory but as mentioned before 16gb would be hard to fill up with apps

I guess I do things differently, I would have thought it would be easier to keep pics and music on the SD card. I'm definitely not an expert on this subject.

Haven't you been here all day ??? You better get some sleep or you won't be able to give your new toy the attention it deserves when it shows up. Unfortunately for me I am at work and am suppose to be awake for a couple more hours.

Just did another check on my phone, it's sitting at the same place 5 milesaway that it has been at for the last 15 hours(the destination sort facility) It could have easily been delivered to my house yesterday afternoon or I could have taken 15 minutes of my time and driven there and picked it up. I guess if you only pay for 2 day shipping they only provide two day shipping.

LOL yes.   I am A night person anyway's so it is hard for me to sleep when i am used to being up all night. I got A few hours sleep in. plus A 5hour energy drink will keep me going  and if i start getting real tired I still have the back up Red Bull.

I work nights as well 6pm to 7am)  just had last night and tonight off Vacation. (shift worker on a on off schedule)I am also off this weekend. It is my normal weekend off .   so where i work on my short week (this week) I can take 2 days off and have the whole week off (mon-sun)

Depending on phone and card, either for space, or for speed - on this Ally i've got for the moment, a class 10/UHS-1 micro runs apps noticeably faster than running them off the internal memory. And, since it's only got 154MB user space, I get more room too - I've got about 750MB install, but still 40ish MB free; there's a few apps I want to have on internal just in case something happens to the micro, like my calendar/appointment app. (system apps are stored on a different partition, and can't really be moved to the SD because of permissions issues usually, though 95% would likely run fine if they were)

And, unlike Apps2SD, you can even run apps with widgets just fine off the SD.

I have the same type of SD card as you 64Gb version. I was curious of the speed of the sd card.A12K_129798509286723657PY8qGLXXgX.jpgA12K_129799325766581657xI7Qbxj0fL.jpg
