The sim card that comes with your phone is tied to the line you bought the phone against. When you turn on the phone with that sim card in it, it automatically activates the phone on your line. You can move that sim card to any phone that can use it and it will activate whatever phone it is in on your line.

The plan is use my daughter's upgrade on her line, transfer it to my line, replace my 3G Ally with the note2 (leaving my daughter's phone alone completely), the give the Ally to a friend to replace their ancient 3G phone on their plan.

So I can just take the sim out of the Ally, stick it into the note, and stick the new (I assume blank) sim from the note into the ally and give that to my friend to *228 onto his line?

So here's a possible issue. I'm on a family plan, and I just looked up some stuff on my verizon, and it says under the order history that the number that MY Note 2 has been associated with, is my Father's. What the heck! Can this be changed with a simple phone call? Or will they have to give me a new SIM card that is tied to my number?

Hmmmmm mine was picked up at 11:45 AM and only has about 40 miles to get to my house. I'm wondering if they'll load in a truck tomorrow AM and drive it from there or will they drive it to an airport that's nearby and then fly it to the one that's about ten miles from my house. If they drive it from where it is now I'll be expecting it tomorrow but if they fly it I won't expect it till thursday.

There isn't a SIM card in the LG Ally. It is a 3G only smartphone. It will have a micro SD card. You should factory reset that phone before giving it to someone else.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

So just checked my tracking info for the first time (yeah I know that's hard to believe and makes me the odd man out) and what I saw kinda has me scratching my head.  The one phone that was ordered with the standard "2-day" shipping is showing as picked up this morning and scheduled for delivery on Thursday just like everyone else has been reporting.

However the second phone that was ordered with priority overnight shipping is still showing as not picked up yet and only the label has been generated.  It is scheduled for delivery on Wednesday by 10:30am.  I would of thought that the overnight package would be the one for sure already in route.  Maybe it just hasn't updated yet.  Odd either way though.

That extra $16.15 for priority overnight shipping will be the best "accessory" I bought for my GN2 if in fact it does arrive by 10:30am on Wednesday.  Gives me a days heads start with the phone over my wife!  LOL

you should probably call the *611 number and if you don't get the results you want keep calling it until your phone shows up at your house.

Or until your head implodes.
