The wifi on my Note 2 is working fine but it seems to scan every 5 seconds even when I'm connected. My Droid X2 did not do this. I would think scanning so much would affect battery life. Is this normal?

Sounds like it's just keeping an eye out for other networks. It doesn't seem to be affecting battery life as far as I can tell.
