I do not have an option to stop android system in the running apps. It

isn't listed in running programs, but it was in All. I force stopped,

rebooted the phone and it still doesn't find any Bluetooth device. Any

other options.?

aeb321 lets get everything running smoothly! Some of the android system options are unable to be Force Stopped, however we'll find a work around. Lets run the device in Safe Mode http://vz.to/1iMKgY4 to see if an app is interfering with the connection.

I have spoken to a Verizon Rep as well as a level 2 specialist at Motorola regarding the wifi issues with my Razr M.  I have reset, force stopped, deleted apps, etc..  No of that has worked.  I believe there is some sort of issue with secure networks.  Upon further digging, the Motorola rep I talked to mentioned that there may be an issue with older routers (mine is only 4yrs old btw) and the new update.  As of right now, there is no fix, but it may be being worked on.  This is super frustrating!!!  Gonna have to see if I can find a "newer" router for less money than data charges.

It's not am old router issue.  My router is only months old, and the one at work is different brand and company that is only months old, and my phone won't connect to either if my blutooth is turned on.  There has to be an issue of conflict between the wifi and blutooth on this new "up"date.  ziggyloo

This is horrible.  Major data hike this week just so I can use my blutooth!!  PLEASE FIX THIS!!!! For the love of pete, the update has been HORRIBLE to say it nicely!!

I booted in safe mode and it still says no Bluetooth devices can be found

and my headset can't find the phone. I think it is a KitKat problem with

the update. What's next?

Verizon just doesn't get it. All these issues are due to the update. They need to get a fix for this now, or at least to Un update back to old version. My wife's phone is a stock phone with no apps that were not original to the phone when bought. On top of all the common complaints everyone is reporting, the icon that was original to the phone ( on bottom of home/lock screen) is rendered useless,  says app not installed.

I have been with Verizon before it was Verizon ( Air Touch).  Give me a new RAZR M with old O/S !!!!!!!!!!

aeb321,

If the bluetooth is not working in Safe Mode either this is an indication that no 3rd party apps are causing the issue. If the headset you are connecting to can connect to other devices but not the phone even in Safe Mode we need to do some more advanced troubleshooting.

Power the device off. Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons (simultaneously) until Android system recovery screen (exclamation point with an android figure) appears then release. From the Android system recovery screen, press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons, press the Power button then release all buttons. Select Wipe Cache Partition (Utilize the Volume buttons to highlight and the Power button to select). Once the Wipe is complete select reboot system now. Once the device is powered back on retest and let us know how it's working.

Hello all.

I too am not pleased with this latest update. My biggest disappointment is with the completely downgraded Bluetooth functionality. I have a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X998 aftermarket head unit in my car. Prior to the update, my phone would automatically connect to the Kenwood, automatically sync my phone book and call history, and when I received an incoming call I was able to answer it with the Kenwood and the microphone which came with it. In addition, if I received a text the Kenwood's screen would display "SMS Received". Bluetooth audio streaming would work, as well as Pandora and iHeart radio via the bluetooth connection between my RAZR M and the Kenwood. Since 4.4.2, I must manually connect my phone each time, incoming calls are declined when I press the answer button on the Kenwood, and all other functions that previously worked flawlessly don't work at all. The only thing that functions as intended is outgoing calls.

I would also like to note that I have already tried clearing the Bluetooth profile from both my Kenwood head unit and my RAZR M xt907. No dice.

In addition to the Bluetooth, my notification LED at the top left of the device is no longer color coded. It's just white.

I'm not sure who is responsible for rolling this version out to the masses, but this screams of terrible quality control. Please release a hotfix soon.

Let's explore options to resolve this Bluetooth connectivity issue FlyingToastr! Please try wiping Cache Partioning and test: Power the device off. Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons at the same time until Android system recovery screen appears and then release. From the Android system recovery screen, press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons, press the Power button then release all buttons. Select Wipe Cache Partition (Utilize the Volume buttons to highlight and the Power button to select). Once the Wipe is complete select reboot system now. When your phone powers on test and keep us posted.
