Droid Eris Ear Piece Speaker Turning Silver

the ear piece speaker on my eris is turning silver when it should all be black. anyone else having this issue? do you think i can get a replacement? or just deal with it

If you are in within the 30 day period still of just purchasing the phone then you can exchange the phone for another new phone. You can also do warranty exchange after 30 days. Warranty will send you a refurbished phone if phone doesn't void warranty (liquid damage or physical damage).

The silver you're seeing is from the black paint wearing off of the little grill. This will probably be considered "normal wear and tear" by Verizon and therefore in-eligible for warranty service.

 

I'll admit, it's kinda cheesy that the paint has started coming off this soon, but it certainly hasn't affected any functions of the phone. I noticed mine doing it and never gave it another thought. Unless it starts turning my ear green....:smileyvery-happy:

 

I use a Jawbone just about all of the time, so I'm really not worried about that, either.
