i have a Motorola Droid A855 wont power on does it take sim card and could this cause not to power on

According to specs here: Motorola DROID full specs it's a phone released in 2009 with 2G connectivity. Therefore, no SIM (used for 4G LTE connectivity). In any event, the SIM card would have no bearing on whether the phone would power on or not. Time for a new phone?
