Is there a way to block data on a line in your plan without buying the family safe guard package?

Unless it’s changed, yes. Login to the myVerizon account and manage the users line. Turning off data on the line should be an option.

Does that turn off data?
I suspect the user has someone hogging all the data.

Oliez78, data services will be required for most devices to be used and the only way to disable to data/restrict the data will be to us Verizon Smart Family.

What's $4.99 compared to a $15 overage or potential huge increase going unlimited?
This is roughly $1.25 a week, about the cost of a soda from a vending machine. If the person causing data issues has an allowance, take 5 bucks from it. Eat 1 less hot and ready a month.

Seriously? It’s possible to manually disable data on a line for free with AT&T. (Without suspending service).
Come on Verizon.
