My concern is making it clear; with payasyou go data aka 1.99.megabyte simply means that each megabyte usage charges 1.99. I just want to make sure of that. If so I was trying to active me android 2 and it required me to update to 2mg for 30.00 a month. I'm a little sketchy on the details but I want conformation on what is best for my plan concerning data usage.

Pay as you go data is for basic phones only. With a Smartphone you are required to choose at least the minimum data plan which is 2GB for $30.

Let me clarify for you that pay as you go is $1.99 per MB that's MEGAByte. The data package for smartphones is $30 for 2 GB as in GIGAbytes. It takes 1024 MB to equal 1 GB. So in other words is takes 2048 MB to equal 2 GB. So even if you could do pay-as-you-go on a smartphone it's cheaper to pay $30 for 2 GB than to pay $1.99 per MB as 2 GB on pay-as-you-go would cost you $4076.
