My Samsung GearS watch, the charging contacts are corroded & won't charge. Don't want to spend $200 to have this happen again, can I bring in another online purchased watch (not Samsung) and get a microSIM card for it? Have IMEI #, but store said 'nope'.

Is it Verizon compatible? You could always try an already activated microSIM and see if it works. What watch are you purchasing, exact model number, and what are the specs for connectivity? It must meet certain technical requirement to be compatible with Verizon's network frequencies.

I'm not aware of a Verizon smartwatch that takes a sim card. The Samsung watch is 3G and the LG Urbane 4G I believe has an embedded IMEI. Not sure if this helps you or not.
