DROID 4. Running 4.1.2. Just did factory reset. Running handful of conventional apps. No games.
The battery runs down in 2-3 hours, even w/o use. Also runs very hot.
What I've tried: I do all the recommended things to keep battery use low (screen turns off quickly, cleaned the cache, etc.) I have done a factory reset. I have powered down to let it rest. I have run diagnostics to check for things running in background. (Used DU Speedbooster.)
Any secrets here? I'm at a loss.
You have certainly been trying hard to keep your device running smoothly, DUFFSJD. If the device is getting hot though, I would recommend bringing it into a Verizon Wireless owned store along with your home and car charger to have a hands-on evaluation completed.
