Is the app price a one time price or a monthly price?

I am just curious if the "paid for" apps are a one time price or a monthly price?  Can anyone tell me?

It is just a one time price.So say if an app costs $1.99 then you would just pay $1.99 one time to buy that app.

TheGreatOne is correct, but I'll add a bit more information regarding paid apps.

Paid apps are "linked" to your gmail account.  If you were to replace your phone with a different Android phone, and  you used the same gmail account to set up the phone,  you can install the same app on your new phone and will not be charged again for it.

(Say you replaced an Eris with a Moto Droid, or even switched to an android on a different carrier, or upgraded to something new next year.)

Also correct, let me point out that WE ARE FREE finally big red has let us out of their walled garden!!!!!!! Some of us have been living with this abuse for some time and recovery is a process and there are still some left overs from that era (visual voicemail).

I used to use an LG Voyager and the monthly fee for some apps was very frustrating. I'm curious, does Verizon still charge a monthly fee for the apps on phones like the EnV and Dare?

Apps on VCast and Apps on the Android Market are two separate things. Apps on the Android Market you pay for once (unless described otherwise by the developer) and that's it.
