Northern California 4G signal WEAK!!! Speeds horrific

The last couple of weeks my HTC Incredible 4G LTE phone is constantly locking up on both native apps and installed apps:

Texts that have pictures or anything but text in them fail to be sent

Apps are constantly unresponsive due to no service.

Google Voice Texts are unsent.

Anything that requires accessing contacts hoses up - it would appear that my phone needs to speak to the cloud in order to get my phone contacts.

I can't make a PHONE CALL without hosing up, again due to the fact it is trying to download my contacts.

The phone is constantly synching and downloading/uploading.  I thought perhaps it was the phone itself, but it seems this is so because the connection speed is horrifically slow.

Is anyone else in the counties of Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Lake, or SF North Bay Area experiencing this annoyance?

It's in more than your state/city. Just look at this forum. That "can you hear me now?" dude needs to change occupations to "can you surf the web now?" He'd be saying, "no!" a lot.

BredWell, let's speed up your connection. Are you having issues with your browser as well? The contacts should be stored on your phone and shouldn't need to sync each time. Boot your phone into airplane mode and see if it is still slow just accessing contacts. Please try clearing cache from apps this is happening with http://vz.to/1fD2MFM.

The browser is slow.  Apps are slow.  Everything slows to a

crawl and/or comes to a screeching halt between mid day and late

night.  This is RIDICULOUS.  I couldn't even respond to this

email from my phone because it couldn't keep enough connection to send the

bloody message.

I have been getting network connection errors

as well.  

And no, this does not happen on Wi-Fi.

The end result is that my phone is constantly locking up AND my

battery life is cut in half as the bloody thing is constantly trying to

connect.  

What really torques me is that I can't use

it as A PHONE or TEXTING because of network connectivity.  This never

happened on my last HTC Incredible.  Is there a way to turn off the

4G so I can use a more reliable network?
