3G Preferred Roaming List (PRL) FAQs

By performing this update your phone will have the best possible service with us.

For 4G LTE or 5G Ultra Wideband devices, you don't need to do anything to update the Preferred Roaming List.

To complete the Preferred Roaming List update:

1. Call *228 from your home coverage area.
2. When prompted, select 2 to update your phone's preferred roaming list. (This process may take up to 2 minutes.)
3. Once completed, a confirmation message will be played, and a message will display on the phone's screen.

This update should be performed every 3 months and after changing plans.
